Omega Spacer Elastomeric Couplings Rexnord
The Rexnord Omega spacer elastomeric coupling consists of a unique split-in-half flex element and reversible hubs that significantly decrease total costs by reducing inventory and assembly time. Omega couplings are non-lubricated, material-flexing couplings utilizing a specially formulated polyurethane material engineered for maximum durability, strength and fatigue resistance. The coupling's high-misalignment capacity accommodates unavoidable misalignment with low reactionary forces. The torsionally soft flex element cushions shock loads and vibration, extending equipment life. Hubs are available in rough bore, custom bore and bushed designs. The Omega spacer design features optional hole mounting positions and reversible hubs to allow adjustment to accommodate most shaft spacing requirements. Optional sleeve extensions are ideal for applications with wide non-standard shaft gaps and can be an economic alternative to suit all shaft spacings up to the maximum allowable gap with the same coupling components. Sleeve extensions are furnished in steel and mount to Omega spacer elements and also size E100 to E140 close-coupled elements. Available in 13 sizes ranging from ES2 through ES80 and four interchangeable element types (see below), the Omega Spacer coupling accommodates torque loads up to 39,500 lb-in (4,463 Nm) and shaft diameters up to 6.00 inches (155 mm).

Features a 25% higher torque rating and a 40% higher torsional stiffness than the standard element. Note: The misalignment rating is reduced to 2 degrees angular and .063" parallel for all sizes as compared to the standard element.
- HSU (Hydrolytically Stable Urethane) (green)
Features a shelf life that is twice the standard element.
- HSU-J Series (green)
Based on the HSU element but is enhanced with a proprietary phosphate coated anti-corrosive steel shoe and stainless steel hardware.
When configured with optional stainless steel hubs the Omega HSU-J coupling provides superior performance in corrosive environments.
